I started my Master’s at SET University, and the experience has been truly impactful so far. From my initial contact with the university representatives to the efficient onboarding and well-organized coursework, SET University has matched what I’d hoped for in a higher education experience. I’m thrilled to be part of such an innovative, ambitious, and forward-thinking community. Building products and nurturing homegrown unicorns is our path forward — and that’s precisely the mission SET is driving.

Mykyta Komarov

Front-End Developer at CarGoo

I like the class schedule: it is quite convenient compared to traditional universities. Besides studying for a master’s degree, we also work full-time, and it’s great that this is taken into account. I also appreciate that most of the professors have a lot of practical experience. The startup track looks interesting. Moreover, the attitude of the university team is excellent. It’s clear that they strive to provide a great learning experience 🙂

Maksym Zemlianyi

Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer, DevOps Expert & Cloud Center of Excellence at Intellias

In today’s fast-paced world, the average lifecycle of knowledge and skills is about two years, making continuous learning essential.

At SET University, I successfully balance my workload between studying and working while meeting all deadlines. I truly appreciate the mindset of the professors—they are open to collaboration and willing to invest their time in students’ success. Another key advantage of SET is the strong community built during the course of study. Be prepared: most of your classmates are seasoned professionals with extensive expertise in their respective fields.

The program is intense: some modules helped me fill in theoretical gaps and apply the knowledge in practice, while others offered a fresh perspective on familiar concepts. SET has equipped me to tackle new challenges while providing the expertise to solve problems comprehensively and effectively.

FAQ

I don't understand which track I should follow

A track is a learning path that students will follow depending on their previous experience. If you come with a non-technical IT background, we recommend choosing the Business Leadership Track, where you will improve your technical knowledge yet focus mostly on management.

If you are a representative of technical IT, we recommend the Tech Track to upgrade your hard skills along with strategic management and aspire to technical C-level roles (CTO, Head of AI, etc.). If you feel unsure about your choice, we will be happy to consult you.

Do I need to know how to code?

If you apply to the talent/business track, then no, you don’t, cause you will learn additional technical skills during your studies. If you apply to the tech track, we suspect you already know how to do it 😉

Is this a full-time program? Does studying in the Master’s program at SET University affect mobilization?

According to the Law of Ukraine “On Mobilization Training and Mobilization,” a list of individuals exempt from conscription during mobilization is defined. As per Article 23, those exempt from military service during mobilization and special periods include higher education students enrolled in full-time programs.

SET University offers only full-time study programs.

Studying in a Master’s program at SET University qualifies as a basis for a deferment from mobilization since it is a full-time program. Higher education students enrolled in full-time programs receive a postponement for the duration of their studies. However, you still have the option to voluntarily join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Additionally, we offer scholarships for combatants, members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and Special Operations Forces.

Is it possible to combine full-time work with a Master’s program?

Yes! We design our programs primarily for professionals who already have experience in IT and are building their careers. Additionally, the learning format will be hybrid to ensure that all participants can balance their studies with work.

What will the learning format be like?

The program follows a blended-hybrid learning format. Educational content will be available on an online platform, while all lectures and seminars will be conducted live online according to a pre-determined schedule.

Additionally, interactive online workshops with professors and group work sessions will take place several times a week. A detailed schedule will be provided in September before the start of the academic year.

For offline activities and student meetups, you will be notified in advance so you can plan your schedule accordingly.
