The SET University team, in partnership with the Ukrainian Startup Fund and Berkeley Haas Entrepreneurship, conducted the Science-to-Market Accelerator.

The Science-to-Market Accelerator is a 4-month training program aimed at commercializing scientific developments, contributing to the creation of new jobs, increasing tax revenues to the state budget, and enhancing the competitiveness of the Ukrainian economy in the global market.

Over 20 weeks, participants’ scientific ideas transformed into powerful business projects. The tech enthusiasts themselves proved that Ukrainian science exists not just for studying theories but for solving global problems.

"Science-to-Market Accelerator is an example of interaction between the state, representatives of the tech ecosystem, businesses, startups, scientists, investors, and international partners. It is also an opportunity to develop Ukraine's international image as a technological and creative country with powerful scientific potential and innovative solutions. Venture funds and corporations should already invest in startups to develop deep tech in Ukraine. This is an investment not only in specific projects but also in the future of our state,"
said Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovations, Education, Science, and Technology Development—Minister of Digital Transformation.

The accelerator program concluded with a Demo Day, where teams presented their solutions that have the potential to change various industries, from agro-industry to AI. Among the projects:

 → Dodomu — a scientifically grounded SaaS solution for online diagnostics of psycho-emotional states;

 → BrownC-Rec — a liquid water-soluble sorbent for the reclamation of soils contaminated with heavy metals and radionuclides;

 → Critical HydroMinerals Calculator — helps assess projects for extracting critical minerals from formation waters of oil fields;

 → Sofia by VeraNet — uses artificial intelligence technologies to transform business decision-making processes;

 → WildFiresUA by YourAirTest — models harmful emissions from factories and fires for air quality monitoring;

 → VitalisLacto — a probiotic starter culture for homemade dairy products;

 → SolarInt — a highly efficient solar concentrator and thermal accumulator to provide a house with heat and electricity;

 → MetersFit — a platform for assessing and tracking human physical fitness;

 → Pre-sowing seed treatment “Parostok” — a technological installation for increasing yield and seed resilience using microwave technology, recommended by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.

"Science-to-Market Accelerator is an example of how the state can cooperate with the private sector and international partners to support innovative development. Such projects not only demonstrate Ukraine's scientific potential but also create opportunities for economic development, open new horizons for our scientists and entrepreneurs, promoting the formation of a modern knowledge economy in Ukraine, where science and business work in close synergy,"
said Oksen Lisovyi, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine.

This accelerator has confirmed that Ukrainian startups have enormous potential for international success. The project opens new horizons for Ukraine in the field of innovation, stimulating economic development and creating new opportunities on the global stage.
